Pantone color is critical for matching brand colors. When using Pantone color, the formula is derived from a swatch book and not a CMYK “equivalent”  What does this mean in plain english? It means your color is hand mixed by a production specialist according to the PMS swatch book. That color is then loaded into the ink tray and used for your print collateral. There is no mistaking Pantone color when it comes to accuracy and consistency across print runs.
